With teams formed and practices starting soon, we want to ensure our players have everything they need to stay safe and play their best. Here is a checklist of required and recommended equipment for our baseball and softball players (ages 4-13).
Required Equipment:
Fielding Glove: Ensure the glove is broken in and fits your child's hand properly.
Baseball/Softball Cleats: Molded rubber cleats are required. No metal spikes are allowed for these age groups.
Athletic Supporter (Boys): Required for all male players, especially catchers and infielders.
Uniform Pants/Belt/Socks: Required for T-Ball, Rookies, and Farm. Your coach will specify the colors needed to match your team jersey.
Bat Requirements:
Baseball: Must feature the USA Baseball logo. USSSA "1.15 BPF" bats are not permitted.
Softball: Must be marked with the ASA or USA Softball certification mark.
Recommended Items:
Batting Helmet: Players should have their own for hygiene and a proper fit.
Bat Bag: To keep all gear organized and easy to carry to the dugout.
Water Bottle: Please label it with your child's name. Staying hydrated is essential!
Batting Gloves: Optional, but helpful for grip and preventing blisters.
League Provided Gear:
Uniform Pants/Belt/Socks: Provided for Farm, Minors, Majors, and 50/70
Team Jersey: Provided for all divisions
Team Hat: Provided for all divisions
Catcher's Gear: Available for team use
Pro-Tip: Please use a permanent marker to write your child's name on the inside of their hat, glove, and helmet. Gear often looks identical in the dugout!
