Rules
Pitching: This is a player-pitch division. However, any player who has reached the league age of 12 is ineligible to pitch in the Minor League. Many leagues utilize a "modified player pitch" approach to help players learn the unique windmill motion while keeping the game moving.
Base Running & The Circle Rule: Once the pitcher has possession of the ball within the eight-foot radius circle surrounding the pitcher’s plate and is not making a play, all runners off their bases must immediately (within three seconds) attempt to advance or retreat to a base.
Leaving the Base Early: Runners must maintain contact with their base until the pitcher has released the ball. If a runner leaves early, they may be called out.
Equipment:
Softballs: The division typically uses an 11-inch or 12-inch softball meeting Little League specifications.
Bats: Bats must not exceed 33 inches in length or 2 1/4 inches in diameter and must meet current Little League softball standards.
Helmets: Batting helmets must meet NOCSAE specifications and bear the NOCSAE stamp. Any added attachments (like C-Flaps) must be approved by the manufacturer.
Game Duration: During the regular season, no new inning may begin after 1 hour and 45 minutes from the time of the first pitch.
