What is 50/70?
The "50/70" name refers to the field dimensions used in this division, which are larger than the standard Little League (Majors) field:
- Pitching Distance: 50 feet (compared to 46 feet in Majors).
- Base Paths: 70 feet (compared to 60 feet in Majors).
Key Rule Differences
This division introduces "Real Baseball" rules to prepare players for Junior and Senior League play
- Leading Off: Unlike standard Little League, runners are permitted to lead off the bases
- Stealing: Runners may attempt to steal at any time, including on the pitcher's delivery
- Pick-offs: Pitchers can attempt to pick runners off at any base.
- On-Deck Batters: On-deck batters are permitted, which is not allowed in the younger divisions
- Game Length: Games are typically seven innings rather than the standard six.
