Red Sox - Intermediate (50/70) Division

Welcome to the home of the Red Sox! The Intermediate (50/70) Baseball Division is an exciting bridge for players transitioning from the standard Little League field to the full-sized diamond .

What is 50/70?

The "50/70" name refers to the field dimensions used in this division, which are larger than the standard Little League (Majors) field:

  • Base Paths: 70 feet (compared to 60 feet in Majors).

Key Rule Differences

This division introduces "Real Baseball" rules to prepare players for Junior and Senior League play

  • Stealing: Runners may attempt to steal at any time, including on the pitcher's delivery
  • Pick-offs: Pitchers can attempt to pick runners off at any base.
  • On-Deck Batters: On-deck batters are permitted, which is not allowed in the younger divisions
  • Game Length: Games are typically seven innings rather than the standard six.
